Description: The doors of this custom built-in cabinet were commissioned from me by an architect on behalf of a client in NYC. It is another variation of the Geolithic style originally debuted by me in Directional Furniture in New York City in 1972. The term “Geolithic Carving” was inspired by the action of water on rock over billions of years. The name “Tempest” refers to this specific carving motif. The large cabinet was built in two sections to facilitate transportation and installation. A local contractor built the plywood cabinet, shelves, and drawers, which holds a refrigerator, and also serves as a bar.
