Description: An example of Geolithic style carving on a table. I originally debuted this style in 1972 on cabinet fronts shown at Directional Furniture in New York City. I revived it in the early 2000’s and applied it to architectural features such as walls. The term “Geolithic Carving is inspired by the action of water on rock over billions of years. The name “Lunar Sea” refers to this specific carving motif designed with sufficient flat spots to serve as a functional top for drinks and other items.
