Description: Laminated and carved in solid Walnut, this wall was installed as a decorative, architectural feature in the corridor of a large apartment in New York City. The wall confronts the visitor as he or she enters the apartment. It is made of six separate panels assembled on site with bolts accessed from the rear. Metal splines index the panels to each other so that the transition from panel to panel is seamless. The assembled wall rides on metal tracks top and bottom so it can expand and contract with changes in the ambient relative humidity.
