Dimensions: 28″ wide, 22″ deep, 3.5″ high

Materials: African Mozambique

Date: Completed in 1973 as a commission for a private client

Description: A carved wood case designed to hold a hand embroidered fabric backgammon playing surface made by the client. The client sent me the embroidered work so it could be fit neatly into the case. Carved slots were created next to the playing surface to store the backgammon pieces and the dice used in the game. Small carved cups to hold and throw the dice completed the design.
